Menu sections are the headings used to separate groups of items on a menu. For example, at Starbucks, under the Hot Drinks category you would have sections that include Coffee, Tea, etc. It’s important to note that categories are different than sections. Think of categories like pages on a restaurant menu, here is a breakdown:
Breakdown using examples:
Section: Soups, Salads, Share plates
Section: Pasta, Pizza, Meat, Fish
If you haven’t learned how to add and update menu categories, you can head to that section by clicking here.
STEP BY STEP:
- Click Menus on the left toolbar.
- Click Sections at the top of the screen.
- Head to your desired Menu Category (there should be 3 listed)
- Go to the bottom of that Category, type in your desired section and click the + button.
Once you’ve added the menu section, it will automatically update on a mobile device. However, the section will remain hidden on the mobile device until you add menu items to that section. To learn how to add menu items, click here.
