How To: Change the Refund Password

Every time you perform a refund from the merchant tablet, it will require a refund password. You can change this password can be changed at any time from the dashboard. If you have not yet watched our tutorial on how to perform a refund, click here. There are a few actions on the dashboard which will require a manager password. This includes performing a refund, as well as switching the tablet to busy mode. Some actions that  affect business have been locked down, in order to avoid misuse.

There are plenty of tasks which can be completed by any staff member, like updating inventory. However, something that impacts the business more significantly are protected. As a result, the refund password is one of those protected actions. It is rather simple to change from the dashboard.


STEP BY STEP:

  1. Click Operations on the left toolbar.
  2. Select your desired restaurant location.
  3. Move over to the section to the right and scroll down until you see Update Manager Password.
  4. Key in your new password and click Update.

Once you click update, the new password will automatically be updated on the merchant tablet of that restaurant.
