TRANSACT CAMPUS INC. COOKIE POLICY

Transact Campus Inc. is a subsidiary of Transact Holdings Inc. among other related entities and affiliates (collectively, “Transact”). This Cookie Policy describes what you need to know about cookies and how Transact uses them. This Cookie Policy applies to any digital platform through which you may access our websites and services, such as a personal computer or mobile device. Please read our Privacy Policy for more information on how we use your personal information.

What You Need to Know about Cookies

Cookies are small text files downloaded to your computer or mobile device to make sure our websites work efficiently and seamlessly and perform certain functions. They are unique to your account or your browser. The website sends information to the browser, which then creates a text file. Every time you go back to the same website, the browser retrieves and sends this file to the website's server. Cookies cannot access, read, or modify any other data on your computer.

How Transact Campus Inc. Uses Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies on our websites when you affirmatively consent to cookies. We also use cookies when you access some of our products and services. Cookies allow us to store your preferences and settings, authenticate you and log you in, as well as provide a personalized experience. Cookies can help us analyze how our websites and online services are performing, such as telling us if you get an error message as you browse. These cookies collect data that is mostly aggregated and anonymous.

Types of Cookies

Description

Sign-in and authentication

These cookies help us authenticate you, keep you signed in, and personalize the services where you use websites and services with sign-in.

Preferences and settings

These cookies help us remember your settings and preferences and deliver a personalized experience even if you are not logged in. For example, we can store which language you prefer. We also use such cookies to help you fill out forms and surveys more easily. We use third-party cookies for these purposes.

Security

Security cookies support our security features and help us detect malicious activities.

Analytics

We use Transact and third-party cookies such as Google Analytics and Siteimprove to gather information about user activities and performance. This helps us analyze and improve the performance of our websites. It also lets us understand, improve, and research how our products and services are used and what type of devices you use to access them. The information we receive from these third-party providers is de-identified, meaning we cannot track it back to you. For Google Analytics, we have enabled IP Anonymization to anonymize your IP address.

Social Sharing

On some of our websites we use buttons and cookies from Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and other social media services that allow you to share content via their services if you are a member and signed in. These social media companies may recognize you and collect information on your visit to our websites, and they may set a cookie or employ other tracking technologies. Your interactions with those features are governed by the privacy policies of the social media companies. Please read their privacy statements and cookie policies to understand how they use your information.

Marketing and Advertising

We use cookies from third parties to recognize you when you return to our websites and to understand which pages you visit. If you submit your information on our pages (such as via a web form), we will link this information to the information stored on the cookie. We use this information to personalize your experience on our websites and to make sure we are communicating with you in the most relevant way possible.

We also use third-party cookies from services such as Google AdWords, Facebook Business, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, and Twitter Ads. This allows those services to show you relevant ads and campaigns from us in their environment when you previously visited one of our websites. We also receive information from some of these services about which ads or campaigns for which you have interacted.

What to Know About Targeted Advertising

We use third party advertising tools to collect information about your visits to our websites to serve you targeted advertisements based upon your browsing history and interests on other websites and online services or on other devices you may use.  In some instances, we may share a common account identifier (such as an email address or user ID) with our third-party advertising partners to help identify and contact you across devices.  We and our third-party partners use this information to make advertisements you see online more relevant to your interests, as well as to provide advertising-related services such as reporting, attribution, analytics and market research.

“Do Not Track” Policy

Some browsers have “do not track” features that allow you to tell a website not to track you. These features are not all uniform. We do not currently respond to those signals.  If you block cookies, certain features on our website may not work.  If you block or reject cookies, not all of the tracking described here will stop.  Options you select are browser- and device-specific.

How to Disable Cookies or Opt Out

Cookies: At any time, you can opt in or out of cookies and you have a variety of tools to control and opt out of cookies and similar technologies at your disposal. For example, you can use browser controls to block and delete cookies. You can also use controls made available by some third-party analytics service providers to opt out of data collection through web beacons and similar technologies. In some browsers you can set your cookie preferences for each site, which means you can disable cookies in general but allow them for websites that you trust. For more information on how to control browser cookies, click here. If information about your browser is not available through this page, please search your browser for instructions about how to opt-out of cookie collection. Please remember that many of our services may not function properly if you disable cookies for our website or services.

Flash: Blocking or deleting cookies does not delete Local Storage Objects (LSOs) such as Flash objects or HTML5. To manage Flash cookie settings and preferences, you must use the settings manager on Adobe's website. If you choose to delete Flash objects from our service, then you may not be able to access and use all or part of the service or benefit from the information and services offered. You can learn more about Flash objects here.

Google Analytics: You can opt out of third-party cookies from Google Analytics using the Google Analytics opt-out browser setting add-on available here or third-party management tools.

Email: You can also change your email settings to block the automatic download of images in email messages, as such images may contain technologies that help us understand how you interact with the message.

Targeted Advertising: To learn more about interest-based advertising and how you may be able to opt-out of some of this advertising, you can visit the following resources at:

            http://www.networkadvertising.org/choices

            http://www.aboutads.info/choices

            http://www.youronlinechoices.com/uk

These tools will only opt you out from receiving interest-based ads on that specific browser or device, but you may still receive interest-based ads on your other devices.  You must perform the opt-out on each browser or device you use. These tools will not opt you out of non-targeted advertising.

Please note that some of these opt outs may not be effective unless your browser is set to accept cookies.  If you delete cookies, change your browser settings, switch browsers or computers or use another operating system, you will need to opt out again.
