Enable Test Mode [Merchant Tablet]

When Hangry’s merchant tablet has enable test mode selected, it is going to allow your admin users to make test orders. The ability for regular users to make orders will be temporarily shut off. This feature is excellent for training new staff or new admin members. Typically, we see clients enable test mode when they are initially rolling out their mobile ordering system. In addition to enabling test mode, there are also specific permissions to allow certain users access to become testers. This way, you’re able to limit and monitor the orders coming in. It’s an ideal way to slowly launch the platform, allowing your frontline staff time to get used to the system. It also allows the rest of the mobile ordering team to ensure the information is correct, and the process flow is smooth.


  1. From the Merchant Tablet home screen, click Settings.
  2. Go to the Test Mode Box and switch the test mode toggle from OFF to ON.

Once the system is in test mode, only admin users will be able to make test orders.
