The Entire Mobile Ordering Process: User, Kitchen, & Backend

Today, we are going to take you through the entire Hangry Mobile Ordering Process and that includes three phases: The User’s Experience, the Kitchen’s Experience, and the Back-end experience. On this blog we’ve discussed the mobile ordering process quite often, and the different features Hangry has to ensure we integrate seamlessly with your existing kitchen operations. However, we’ve never taken you through the step-by-step process of how the magic happens. We’ll show you all the options your users have when ordering, how the kitchen sees the orders and the features the merchant tablet has, and finally how that order shows up on the backend.


The User’s Experience

In our in-depth tutorial video, we take you through the process of ordering a meal. This includes choosing a restaurant, selecting your meal, paying for your order and then waiting for it. The ordering process includes so many different features for the user. For example, the nutritional information for each menu item, the calories, which menu items reward bonus points etc. Lastly, if the campus allows, users are able to add customizations to their order before sending it through.


The Kitchen’s Experience

Once the order is made on the mobile app, the kitchen will automatically receive that order on their restaurant tablet. The tutorial video will take you through the process of the kitchen receiving the order, marking it as ready, and other tablet functions the kitchen has for trouble-shooting and time management. Some examples include: adjusting the time of the order, sending the user a message, refunding an order, adding an order back to the queue and more.


The Backend 

Lastly, the video will show you what that order looks like on the dashboard. From here you can view order details, user information, perform refunds, and even view the events of that user.
