Hangry App Support for COVID-19

With social distancing top of mind, Hangry has made efforts to provide app support to our clients. A mobile app is a great solution to support social distancing mandates during the COVID-19 pandemic. There are multiple ways that an app can help. For instance, pick-up and delivery of food. Additionally, we’ve seen even more creative solutions. Residential dining, convenience stores and bookstores. These are a few instances where our app can be used. 

Order Pick-Up and Delivery

Of course, mobile ordering itself is a means to go contactless when it comes to food. Consider setting up a pick up station. This allows less crowding in dining facilities, as well as less contact with food items. Retail dining is able to maintain operations, while limiting crowding and maintaining appropriate social distancing measures. 

 

 

Soon to be released, we have a revamped delivery module that can take the place of pick-up orders. In this case, campuses will limit traffic to their dining facilities even more. Public spaces that are typically crowded, like food service locations, can keep their foot traffic to a minimum. Orders are placed via the app, and deliveries are made at the convenience of the kitchen. Central pick-up spots or individual addresses can be specified, and orders will be dropped off. Thus, the healthy and safety of staff is further ensured, as there would be no need for customers to enter dining facilities. Although it’s a big change, most clients are telling us they want to reduce traffic in certain areas. High traffic spots are not ideal at this time. As such, dispersing the population across a campus is a good idea. 

Other Uses

Further use cases include the ability to use our solution in unique ways. This includes residential dining, bookstores, event ticketing, and convenience stores. Continuous improvements are being made as we garner feedback from our campus and corporate partners. The ability to customize the many features allows for app support to pivot based on the needs of each individual client. Simple modifications are made for multifaceted use of one single app across many campus facilities. As a result, campuses are able to maintain service. However, they can do so while also mitigating risks.
