Today, we will go over the ability to link existing modifiers. The menu building process can get very repetitive, especially when every item comes with the same options for drink, sides etc. That is why Hangry has created a feature that allows you to link existing option lists and modifiers to new items. If you haven’t learned how to link an existing option list, we suggest you watch the tutorial first. The ability to link existing modifiers is a very similar process. Essentially, this feature allows you to add items to an option list that already exist within the system. That way, you don’t have to create duplicates.
STEP BY STEP:
- Click Menus on the left toolbar.
- Click Modifiers at the top of the screen.
- Select your desired Restaurant Location and Menu Item and Options List.
- In the far left section, go down to Link Existing Modifier.’ Then, click the modifier you’d like to add to that option list.
- Click Link [Item Name]
Warning: once you’ve made a change to a modifier on any linked option list, that update will occur on all menu items using that option list. Therefore, when you’re making changes it’s important to know your changes are being made everywhere, not just to that menu item. This is especially important when deleting linked modifiers. If you delete a linked modifier from one list, it will delete every else that it’s been linked to.
