Scheduled Orders

Enabling scheduled orders is a new feature we recently added to our platform. Scheduled orders are a great option for clients looking to allow customers to place orders in advance. For example, if I know I’ll be occupied in class or in a meeting until noon, I can place my order earlier in the day. With this feature, I could set the pick up time to 12:05 so my food is ready as soon as I’m free. This way, customers don’t have to worry that they won’t have time to enjoy a meal if they’re limited on time.

On the other hand, if you don’t want to allow this feature, simply don’t turn it on. The default setting for restaurants is not having scheduled orders enabled. If choosing to enable this feature, know that you can see these orders from the Sales tab under the subsection called Scheduled. This window will show you all the orders that are in queue so far. On the merchant tablet, kitchen staff will only be notified when the order is released. Thus, the staff will not be overwhelmed by seeing all incoming future orders. Instead, they will pop up on the kitchen tablet only within the required prep time.

STEP BY STEP:

  1. Click Menus in the left toolbar.
  2. Select your desired restaurant from the dropdown.
  3. Scroll down and look for the scheduling orders button in the middle section.
  4. Click the button to toggle from disabled to enabled, and then click update.
