This feature allows you to turn item visibility ON / OFF from the dashboard. As a result, they no longer show up on your mobile app menus. However, you are not deleting the item completely. The feature is great for when you are building new menus on the dashboard but are not ready to be launched yet, or for cafeterias that have changing or rotating menus on a daily or weekly basis.
It’s important to not get item visibility and item availability confused. Item visibility removes the item from a user’s mobile app so they can no longer see it without entirely deleting the menu item. Item availability allows you to turn the STATUS of an item off so users can see that it is still an option, but not currently available. STEP BY STEP:
- Click Operations on the left tool bar.
- Next, click Item Visibility at the top of the screen.
- Click the desired restaurant location.
- Select the desired menu item.
- Move to the section to the right, go to the menu item or option and switch the toggle from ON to OFF or vice versa.
Once this is completed, refresh the home screen on your mobile device and click on the restaurant. Scroll down to the menu item or and you will see your menu item is no longer visible.
