Queen’s University rolls out app with real-time menus, dietary filtering, push messaging and campus loyalty program.
Kingston, Ontario-based university selects Hangry Solutions to make hospitality services mobile.
Queen’s University Hospitality Services has announced the launch of their new branded app, making campus dining mobile. The branded app, developed by Hangry Solutions, features real-time menus that can be accessed by students 24/7. Queen’s Hospitality Services will be able to use the branded app for real-time analytics, surveys and student reviews. Additionally, Queen’s has a direct line of communication through the use of targeted and personalized push messaging.
Within a month, the app has seen huge success as it continues to grow its active user base. Additionally, Hangry states that an average of 75% of push messages are opened. Queen’s is seeing a 62% open rate in the first week alone, thanks to the use of data analytics from the dashboard. Branding an app specifically for your campus, like Queen’s has done, is highly recommended by Hangry.
Available for free through the Google Play or Apple Store, The Queen’s Dining app features a campus loyalty program that gives students the ability to earn points for app usage. These points can then be redeemed in the rewards store for prizes that include campus merchandise, meal vouchers, and more. Thanks to Queen’s partnership with Hangry solutions, students will benefit from an improved dining experience. They’ll also have 24-hour access dining information, and earn points and prizes.
